The light at the end of the tunnel may be in sight, but, the brave new world we are going to encounter and inhabit, may come as quite a shock to those who have colluded to keep lives and habits in the same turgid, dreary dimension. It requires enthusiasm and illumination to set a new framework for public participation in the social, economic, and political landscape after Covid-19. Monumental changes looking forward, defining respect and consideration of others and our environment, condemning to history the old ways of brutal austerity amidst division and commercial greed. Consumerism, exploitation, and the unfair distribution of wealth, binned, whilst acknowledging human rights, tenets of a new social order and civilisation, and ecological sustainability. This is a world of caring and sharing, a new vibration and resonance, robust societal measures, and strong herculean leadership

The alternative is the nightmare of uncontrolled consumption, depletion of the worlds natural resources leading to famine, confrontation, breakdown of social order, environmental disaster, and political vacuums, all with world-shaking consequences. Time has run out for the endangered, outdated, ubiquitous, obsession of uncontrolled capitalism! This is our time. A time for re-alignment., towards a brave new connected, democratic world!

There is an abundance of talents and skills to mark out an inclusive agenda. It would involve all age groups, especially our youth. Awareness and connectivity and the precursors of a new deal in living as one, an empathetic and inclusive society, one which shows respect, care, and humility. In the aftermath of the Covid-19 Pandemic, humankind surely has the ability, and the will to show compassion, to re-direct and focus energies, and make the world a better place.

To shift and re-configure the balance of power, a detailed framework for accession is a pre-requisite of change in a new social and political landscape; it requires to be a be direct and confident, and is a transfer, rather than a seizure of power towards democratization. Such polarised agendas can never be simultaneous, as each protagonist has vastly different objectives and propensity, for rudimentary change. One, after all is losing significant currency and title.

The defining, and meaningful major changes afoot will not meet with unanimous accord. The stripping of power, influence, and ultimately wealth, will be abrasive, shocking and ruinous to narcissistic relics of a consumer-driven society; those whose corrupt practices sought to interfere in the very process of Government through lobbying, bullying, manipulation and collusion. No more financial, banking or currency corrupt practices, or outworn, opaque, centralised institutions, rather a transparent, streamlined, diffused bureaucracy, an ethos embracing conscientiousness, respect, equality, harmony, and commitment, to “One World”

A new dimension will be added to transportation and infrastructure and we will have a fully-funded Education and Health and Care “industry” for all; it will include no commercial funding requirements for both these vital institutions, rather they would exemplify innovation, excellence, and the pride of the nation. Governmental decisions and policy, made through the ballot box, not by agents who seek to influence decisions of state, commerce, and industry, either of national or overseas origin. Intellectual property and assets, and strategic industries re-defined, protected from speculators, predators, and wreckers! We shall re-create industrial and commercial hubs as a core element of our economy, craft a diversity, inclusivity, energy, and pride, in the indomitable spirit of creativity, munificence and human endeavour.

There will be no tax havens or offshore companies, and our elected representatives will have adequate reward, without recourse to abstract “consultancies” and diversions to the focus of empirical law and decisions of state, for the good, and benefit, of all. No extraneous interference or ambiguity would constrict or impact upon the function of State, the seat and integrity of power. The economy in all its facets, industry, commerce as principal elements, are there to serve a purpose; the creation, viability, and sustainability of the social, economic, and commercial pre-requisites of a modern economy. The degradation and subordination of individual and the democratic process, by neoliberalism and a defacto elite, broken forever by collective action; a shared vision towards a new world of social cohesion, equalisation, and a redistribution of power.

Perhaps the devastation of Coronavirus is the noble catalyst for an age of enlightenment, equality, and progressive thinking; an action towards building inclusive ethical businesses, and co-operatives, sustaining a clean and green environment, and sharing the rewards. We require little to make change; the vision, passion and drive, the will, commitment, and the belief that our collective indomitable energy has untold boundaries, to make our world safer and harmonious.
